    Returns & Refunds

    • 1) Incorrect Order Delivered

    If a delivery is found to be different to what was ordered, you must inform sales@centralfasteners.co.uk within 7 days of receipt of the item.  We will arrange for collection of the item and dispatch the correct item at no cost once we are in receipt of the returned item and have inspected it.  If it is required quickly, we can dispatch the correct item at the full price and provide the refund when we receive and inspect the returned item.

     

    • 2) Damaged goods on delivery

    If a delivery is damaged on delivery or when the carton is opened, you must report this within 24 hours of receipt of delivery along with a photo of the damaged item to sales@centralfasteners.co.uk we will handle the issue as quickly as possible and provide a replacement item at no cost.  We may arrange collection of the damaged item.

     

    • 3) Delayed Delivery

    We will inform customers of any expected late deliveries, should you not receive the parcel within the expected scheduled delivery date contact sales@centralfasteners.co.uk as soon as possible so we can handle what the delay is.  If the parcel has taken longer to arrive of around 5 working days than expected and no longer require the item, get in touch and we will arrange for collection and the refund once the goods have been returned and inspected.

     

    • 4) The goods are not what you want

    If you decide that the item is not required and was delivered as ordered. There is a 14-day cooling off period where-bye the goods can be returned for a full refund for the item. This is providing the item is in a new condition and the item packaging is intact.  A refund for the item will be provided on receipt and inspection of the returned items.  If the item is not in a saleable condition, we will make contact and either offer to return the item back to you and you will need to pay for te cost of the carrier or arrange your own collection.  We will only store the item on your behalf for 14 days of receipt. After-which we will dispose of the item.  You will have to pay for the return deliver in which we can arrange if needed.

     

    • 5) Incorrect Size or Fit (Boots & Clothing)

    In the case of items such as boots or clothing where the item does not fit or is not suitable, we will arrange collection and provide the first replacement free of delivery charges.  If there are differences in the replacement prices, we will either refund the difference or request a payment for the price difference.  For this free service, we will need to be notified within 7 days of receipt of the item.  The returned items must be in a new condition along with the packaging.  We will only dispatch the replacement free of charge when we receive the returned item and inspected it.  However, if the item is needed quickly, we will request full payment for the replacement and once the item is received and inspected we will refund the item and all the relevant delivery costs on the condition it’s in a new condition.

     

    • 6) Warrantee of Product
    1. a) Manufacturers warrantees vary from item to item on footwear and clothing.  For example, footwear and clothing are generally 3 months and the wear and tear on these will depend on the validity of the warrantee.  If it’s a clear manufacturer fault, send a photo of the fault.  We will arrange collection and a replacement on receipt and inspection of the item.  If the item is required quickly, we will request full payment for the replacement and arrange a refund when we receive and inspect the item.  If the warrantee is invalid, we will explain the reasons and not send a refund.  In some cases, we will return to manufacturer for their decision which can take 4 weeks or more.  If unsure, please ask for details before placing your order.
    2. b) Manufacturers warrantee on tools and equipment vary usually from 6 months on air tools to lifetime on certain hand tools for manufacturer faults only.  Due wear and tear is taken into account.  Certain tools such as power tools have extended warrantees.  Its the purrchasers responsibility to read all instructions and carry out registration for the extra warrantee.  We cannot be held responsible for the cost of any warrantee faults if the registration has not been done.  In many cases, the warrantee is not handled by us, it is only handled directly with the manufacturer.  If unsure, ask for details.
    3. c) Manufacturer warrantee on other items.  In most cases its 12 months for manufacturer faults.  If its viable to return the item, we will arrange this at no cost.  We will require photos of the faults where necessary.  We will send out a replacement either straight away or on reciept of the returned item depending on the value of the item.  If it is required quickly and we need the item returned for inspection, we will request payment and delivery costs where applicable and refund this amount on inspection of the faulty item.  In some cases, we may have to return the item to manufacturer for either a repair or replacement before a refund can be made.

     

    • Health and Safety

    Its important that all manufacturer’s instructions are read and understood before using any product, tools, equipment, PPE, clothing, or chemicals and have any specification and MSD sheets at hand (Available on request).  Central Fasteners (Staffs) Limited are not advisors on how something is used and any information provided whether written or verbally is not contractually binding.  The purchaser and user must satisfy themselves that they are trained and provided with any personal protection equipment when operating or using any item.  Central Fasteners (Staffs) Limited and their employees and contractors are only distributors on behalf of manufacturers, wholesalers and importers.  We can provide further details and information on request.
